There’s nothing better than looking into the garden and seeing wild birds tentatively approach a bird feeding station to discover what food you’ve put out for them to enjoy.
The problem is, there are so many bird feeding stations for you to choose from that it’s difficult to know which is right for you and your garden, but also which is right for the birds.

My Bird Feeding Station Reviews
Kingfisher Bird Feeding Station Review
Kingfisher’s bird feeding station offers great value for money. Besides that, it also has an impressive range of features for a bird feeding station for such a low price.
It has 3 convenient areas to place your hanging feeders in a very traditional design, so it looks exactly as you would expect a bird feeding station to look.
It provides both a mesh feeder dish and a water dish below your hanging feeders, so you can watch the birds drink and eat in peace from the comfort of your garden or home.
Besides what this feeder can offer the birds though, it’s also attractive, has a powder-coated metal frame, meaning it won’t rust when left outdoors all year round.
At a respectable 1.9m tall, you’re also sure to get a splendid view of the birds as they approach and enjoy the fat balls, nuts, or seeds that you’ve left out for them too!
We’d be doing you a disservice as a keen birder, not to mention how good this is as a cheaper option. After all, our hobbies don’t have to cost us an arm and a leg.
For the price, you’ll get a tall bird feeding station that can offer you a great view of the birds as they feed, and you’ll get a stable frame for them to enjoy too.
Space For 3 Hanging Feeders
You wouldn’t expect to find room for 3 hanging feeders from a feeding station as cheap as this. Kingfisher has ensured those of you with a lower budget can have a stylish station too.
Three hanging feeders give you the opportunity to see multiple birds feeding at the same time. What’s better than one bird? Lot’s of them, of course, and this gives you that!
Water Dish Included
A water dish is an excellent accessory for a bird station. Every well-versed birder knows that the best feeding stations offer everything a bird could want, and this does.
Birds are relatively lazy when it comes to searching for food and drink. If you can offer them a one-stop-shop for all their needs, then they’ll take it more often than not.
One of the worst possible things you can purchase is a bird feeding station with a shoddy frame that moves in the wind or when a bird lands on it.
Birds are easily frightened away from bird feeding stations as they’re naturally suspicious creatures. This frame is robust and won’t move when birds land on it.
Honeyfields Wild Bird Feeder Pole Station Review
Honeyfields Bird feeding station includes three reusable hanging feeders which is a great bonus because you just need to replace the contents, not the feeders.
The three feeders are all slightly different so they are perfect for seeds, peanuts, or fat balls thanks to the different openings that the birds can use to access the food.
At 1.88m high, this is also a great tall option for your garden, so it will ensure that you get an unobstructed view of the birds as they land on the bird feeder and enjoy the treats you’ve left out.
Honeyfields actually market it as a starter kit, so it’s a really great option for you to use if you have any children who are budding bird watchers too, which is great.
They also include a stability plate to enhance the sturdiness of the frame, and the tube design of the station itself is a respectable 20mm thick metal that makes the whole thing stronger.
Having your own feeders that you simply need to refill with the products is great, especially when they are made of a sturdy metal that’ll last the duration, unlike the cheap plastic ones.
With 3 feeders you can put out different treats to attract the birds. This means you’re casting a wider net for different species based on their food preferences.
This is possibly a little more sentimental, but it’s still a great reason to buy this bird feeding station. As a starter kit, it’s great for children to get involved in because it isn’t complicated.
Whether it’s your children or grandchildren, letting them refill the feeders themselves and watch the birds fly in will be a great bonding opportunity for the both of you.
This metal frame has also been powder-coated to ensure that it is resistant to rust, something that is essential for a product that is going to be left outdoors all year round.
Besides that, it also has a stability plate included, which means it will stand strong against high winds, so it won’t fall over or damage anything else in your garden too.
Putting the feeder together couldn’t be easier with the simple instructions and all the fittings that you need to create a strong bird feeding station with no fuss or complications.
It’s also ready to go from the moment you’ve built it and picked a spot in your garden. All you need to do is provide the seeds, peanuts, or fat balls to fill the feeders and you’re ready!
Gardman Complete Bird Feeding Kit Review
This bird feeding station by Gardman is one of those products that really has it all, and the best part is, it’s still a more than reasonable price for all the different things you get with it.
It comes with a host of impressive features, starting first with two black steel seed feeders, one black steel peanut feeder, and one black steel suet feast feeder. This covers every base.
Look below the hanging feeders, and you’ll see a large birdbath with a support ring to keep it upright even when the birds are enjoying their bath and a feeding tray!
When fully extended, this bird feeding station will stand at 2.26m tall, so it will stand tall enough to attract an array of birds, and it will be tall enough for you to watch them.
The four hooks at the top of the feeding station burst out from an attractive finial that offers a really lovely design element to your garden that is sure to impress the neighbours too!
With the easy screw together extra strength poles, you’ll have a durable bird feeding station that is quick to assemble, so you won’t have to compromise on either of these important criteria.
You can attach the accessories such as the feeder tray and the large birdbath with simple spiral fittings too, so they don’t require any expert assembly but they are still very strong.
Wide Array Of Feeders
The sheer amount of feeders that are offered with this product is really impressive. When you take a closer look at how these feeders are made, it becomes even more so.
They have crafted each one using black steel, so they are also strong just like the frame, but you’ll also be able to reuse them time and time again for as long as you have the feeding station.
Large Bird Bath
So far this is the only bird feeding station that we have covered that offers such an impressive birdbath. It is large enough to fit the birds in comfortably with no issues.
But it’s also reinforced with a support ring beneath it that means the large bird bath will not fall when the additional weight of the birds and water is added to it either.
Of the three we’ve looked at so far, you will have your personal favourites, but you really can’t deny the attractive finial that has been incorporated into the design at the top.
The number of feeders and other features also encourages more birds to your garden, so not only does it look nice on its own, but surrounded by all those birds too – perfection.
Tom Chambers Grand Bird Station Review
All the bird feeders so far have only been available in a black metal finish, so if you’re looking for a sturdy metal bird feeding station that looks a little more natural, then this is it.
Slightly more natural-looking brown/bronze finish on the metal, it will blend in well with most gardens, and it’s just as sturdy as the others due to the double stabilisers on the feet.
Now, this is an attractive design for sure, but it’s also worth pointing out that they do not include the feeders with this one, so it’s worth bearing that in mind when purchasing.
It comes with the largest feeder tray of them all (31cm diameter) and a respectably sized water tray and bracket (16cm diameter) so it will certainly attract a lot of birds your way.
At 2.3m tall, this is a great option for you to consider for the best views possible, but it’s also so well made that it isn’t at risk of toppling even at this great height.
Ground Spike And Stabilisers
With such a tall bird feeding station, you need to be certain that it won’t fall, and this Tom Chambers bird station is excellent thanks to its innovative design and careful planning.
The ground spike works well when you’re placing the bird station in the middle of your lawn, and the stabilisers on the feet keep the station from moving even in stronger winds.
With a base created with a 32mm in diameter heavy-duty feeder pole, this bird feeding station is one of those that you know has been built to last, and this one certainly will.
You pay a little more for the added peace of mind and given that the price of this bird feeding station is still reasonably priced, it’s difficult to complain.
A Space For Everything
With four hooks available at the top, one below, a large bird feeding tray and a respectably sized water dish, this feeding station really has everything you could need.
It also gives you the flexibility to hang feeders that are right for the birds in your area, which is also a blessing too!
Powder Coated Frame
As you’ve probably already come to expect with these metal bird feeding stations, they have finished it with a powder coating that makes it resistant to rust and weatherproof.
The powder coating means you don’t have to complete any maintenance throughout the bird station’s lifespan, so it’s completely hassle-free once up.
Riverside Woodcraft Bird Feeding Station Review
This wooden bird feeding station by Riverside Woodcraft is stunning, there really is no other way to put it, because it just looks great in any garden.
If you’re worried about wood as a choice for a bird feeding station because of the hygiene implications. Well, don’t, as it’s coated in an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal finish.
With 2 large hanging bird tables, that look almost like birdhouses with their slate roofs, and two large feeding tables below that, there is ample room for the birds to come and feed.
The head of the birds feeding station actually comes pre-made, so won’t require any assembly, and the stand is easy to put together, so that’s the only work that is required on your part.
This bird station stands at over 6ft according to the manufacturers (that’s over 1.8m for comparison with the other stations) and it offers all the viewing angles you need to get a good look at the feeding birds.
The wooden design is not only really attractive to look at in your garden, but it actually offers some other practical benefits too, even if there is more upkeep involved in it.
Birds are naturally suspicious so they’re less likely to approach something unfamiliar. The wooden design will feel familiar to the wild birds, so they should come over happily.
Anti-Bacterial And Anti-Fungal
With wooden structures of any kind, they can be prone to bacteria and fungi that will ultimately destroy them and leave them in ruins, but Riverside Woodcraft is prepared for that.
With an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal coating, this won’t be a problem for this feeding station, and the coating is a very attractive almost chestnut finish too, so it looks great!
Perfect Feeding Spots
The entire purpose of a bird feeding station is to attract, well… birds and the two hanging bird tables with their slate roofs are a great way to create a space that will attract them.
So too are the slightly more open bird tables below them, and all four of them offer spectacular views for keen birders to watch feeding birds in all their natural beauty.
